Free Rabies Vaccination Held in Karet Tengsin

As many as 68 pets owned by residents of RW 07, Karet Tengsin Urban Village, Tanah Abang, Tuesday (2/7), received rabies vaccination held by Central Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency.
Vaccination given to 10 dogs and 58 cats
Sub-agency's Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Section Head, Herawati, admitted the program held at RPTRA Segar Berseri was aimed to anticipate rabies spread in Jakarta, especially Central Jakarta.

According to her, the program targets pets prone to rabies such as cat, dog, monkey, and weasel. Similar program will be held again in 44 urban villages out of eight sub-districts.
"The program is free of charge," she admitted.
One of local residents, Sapta, came to the location to give vaccine for his two pets.
"I hope the program remains exist yearly," he hoped.
